John Riccardo, D.O., M.B.A.

Dr. John Riccardo was born in West Chester, PA.  He is a 1990 graduate of Drexel University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Business and Administration with a dual concentration in Accounting and Finance.  After a brief business career Dr. Riccardo began his training in medicine.  He attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he advanced his training in biomedical sciences and received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree in 2001.  He simultaneously advanced his business training at St. Joseph’s University receiving a Masters Degree in Business and Administration (M.B.A.) in 2001.


Dr. Riccardo completed his residency training at St. Francis Hospital (Wilmington, DE) in 2004 where he was Chief Resident.  In 2004 he achieved Board Certification in Family Medicine by The American Board of Family Medicine. 

Dr. Riccardo then returned to the Chester County area and joined Chester County Medical Associates for two years. In 2006, Dr. Riccardo started MillTown Family Medicine. He resides in the Downingtown area with his wife and children. He is actively involved in the sports community as a participant and coach.

Dr. Riccardo sees patients in his office located in Downingtown, PA. Office appointments are available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Dr. Riccardo is Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at Brandywine Hospital and The Chester County Hospital. He is on the Medical Executive Committee at Brandywine Hospital, Chester County Hospital, and LifeCare Hospitals of Chester County and is a member of the Physician Leadership group at Brandywine Hospital.

Dr. Riccardo is Board Certified by The American Board of Family Medicine.  He has personal interests in the areas of adolescent, geriatric, sports and osteopathic manual medicine.
